Word of the Week: Erotic Lactation

Got milk? Well, if you're into erotic lactation the answer is probably yes.

Erotic lactation is when an adult partner is breastfed for erotic reasons. This is also referred to as adult nursing, adult breastfeeding, and adult suckling, and if an exclusive couple takes part in this, they're referred to as a nursing couple. Those involved in this sort of activity may have a milk fetish or lactophilia.

This may be more common than you think. In a 2005 study, the London newspaper, The Times, reported that between 25% to 33% of men had suckled from their lactating wives. Most people who do this, though, don't talk about it and keep their actions a secret. Public opinion on the matter is vague. How often have you discussed erotic lactation in polite company? Probably never!

According to Wikipedia, there are several variations of erotic lactation. Here are a few for your consideration:

• Lactation games: This refers to any sexual activity including a woman's milk. Such activity is widespread, and often unintentional in the time after a woman gives birth since many women experience a let-down reflex (releasing milk) when sexually aroused.
• Lactation pornography: This is mostly a niche genre, and is considered a taboo by many because of its proximity to incest and children. Not surprising, Japan produces the most lactation-related pornography, both in live action and hentai. Side note: one of the very first porn movies I ever saw included a scene with lactation. It was weird. All I remember about it was that there was lactation and incest involved. Interesting stuff for your first porn viewing, eh?
  
• Adult Nursing Relationship (ANR): This is the suckling of milk from a female's breast on a regular basis from one or more partners. According to Wiki, "successful ANRs depend on a stable and long-term relationship, as, otherwise it is very difficult to maintain a steady milk flow. Couples may began an ANR by transferring regular suckling from a child to a sexual partner (eg. husband). Such a relationship may form as an expression of close intimacy and mutual tenderness and may even exist without sex. The breastfeeding woman may experience orgasms or a pleasurable let-down reflex." The couple that sucks together stays together?
  
• Pumping: Not surprising, some women experience pleasure and orgasms from having their breast milk pumped, either manually or with a machine. A few women enjoy the physical and emotional feelings from pumping so much that they continue to pump even after they have weaned their children.
  

What do you think? I, Miss Kitty, have never had children and never plan to, but I don't think having my husband suckle from me would be entirely weird. Now, if he were to use my breast milk in his cereal or to dunk his Oreos in, that might be another story. In my sometimes wacky mind, erotic lactation doesn't seem like that big of a deal.
